Drøbak square is the heart of the city and a meeting point for both visitors and locals, with market traders, outdoor restaurants, fountains and benches.

The square has been a meeting point since the middle of the 18th century when Drøbak grew to become a lumber town. It is also around Drøbak torg that most of the niche shops are located.

Frogn library, Julehuset and Drøbak cinema are also located by the square.

The square itself was renovated in 1997, designed by Arkitektfirmaet Snøhetta.
