Something happens almost every night during the summer season in Drøbak; small concerts in cosy backyards, large festivals in Badeparken and Sjøtorget, opera at Oscarsborg and the classic “Summer Concerts” in Drøbak church every Saturday.
Attending a festival in Drøbak is an experience that includes great fjord views, sea air and summer vibes in one of the cosiest cities along the Oslo Fjord. Here you can go to a concert, but also sit on the outdoor restaurants at Drøbak square, take a fjord bath or visit some of the city’s many galleries.
In the summer, three major festivals are organised: Drøbakfestivalen, Drøbak Harbour Festival and Guitars by the the fjord. At Oscarsborg, the famous Oscarsborg Opera is a highlight, with the Oslo Fjord Opera Festival. There is also often live music in the city, either at Café Sjøstjernen, in the charming backyard of Café Drøbak or at Handelshuset Gastrobar. Smia, the multipurpose house next to the golf course at Dyrløkke, also offers regular concerts, theatre and other cultural events. The Follo open-air museum with the cultural barn Taraldrudlåven also has regular cultural events.
