Cyclists will find a paradise here too, with smooth country roads and long forest trails. Try a gentle loop around Hurdalsjøen or up into the hills on gravel tracks that stretch for miles – many of which become ski trails in winter.

Summer in Hurdal

Hurdal offers idyllic swimming spots for everyone – from the shallow family beaches at Åsand and Meieriodden to the scenic lakeside areas by Hurdalsjøen Hotel, Haugnes Camping, or Bogen Brygge. You’ll also find small rivers, forest ponds, and peaceful lakes scattered across the hills surrounding the village. In summer, the lake -Hurdalsjøen is alive with boating, bathing, and outdoor fun.

Winter in Hurdal

Experience “VM Spark Utfor” – a beloved local winter event and a true adrenaline rush! If that’s not enough, hit the slopes at Hurdal Skicenter – the largest alpine resort in Akershus.
Hurdal is also known for excellent cross-country skiing, with early trails that last longer than most in the region. And when conditions allow, you can skate on natural ice right on the lake.
