Come and test our joyful experiences near Oslo. Whether you are looking for an adrenaline kick or want to enjoy calm nature experiences, we got you covered. Visit Greater Oslo covers the three main regions Follo, Romerike and Asker & Bærum. All three are located within 45 minutes from the center of Oslo.

Fly high or enjoy the peaceful nature

Norway's most extreme rollercoaster experiences can be found only 20-30 minutes from Oslo. Visit Norway's largest amusement park Tusenfryd. Scandinavia's second largest climbing park can be found in Lillestrøm, within  short distance from Oslo. Høyt & Lavt Lillestrøm climbing and adventure park has over 224 elements including 41 zip lines, climbing walls and trails that are suitable for everyone.

 

In Norway, there are three wind tunnels and two of them can be found in our region. Sky dive in the wind tunnel at Megafun in Lørenskog or fly high at Modern Activity Center in Gardermoen.

At sea, the RIB guys bring you close to the home of the seals and sea eagle's. Learn more about Norwegian history and the night the Germans invaded Norway and sunk the military ship, Blücher, outside Oscarsborg.

Enjoy beautiful scenery while kayaking in the archipelago. Or escape into the woods where you only hear the silence of the forest and birds signing. Rent a canoe and go on an adventure exploring one of the many lakes surrounding the capital.

Vollen Marina in Asker rents out jet skis and smaller rib boats – take a tour and explore the beautiful archipelago of the Oslo Fjord on your own.

Make your dream come true and go for a walk with your very own alpaca. Several farms which offer this - every farm have organize guided tours. Bergvang visiting farm in Asker has more than 12 different types of animals which you may interact with during your visit. They also offers horseback riding tours on Icelandic horses.

Some of the best Golf courses in Norways are found around Oslo. Hauger Golf has an 18 hole golf course in beautiful surroundings of Romerike. Stay overnight at the European leading historic hotel; Losby Gods and enjoy a round of golf on their beautiful track. Only 30 minutes from Oslo, Drøbak Golf Club offers a 18 hole course with a café, driving range and nice clubhouse.

Unique Norwegian experiences

Oscarsborg Fortress and Eidsvoll 1814 are two significant and historical attractions. Both places are iconic symbols of Norwegian history and independence. Visit the cannon which sunk Blücher and see the original table where the Norwegian Constitution was signed in 1814. At Fetsund Timber booms you can experience log-driving history in authentic surroundings and a beautiful natural setting – you may also try to walk on water! At Minnesund there are an Emerald Mines where you may find your very own emerald. The world's most rare gemstones can be found here. It is said  that several of the Crown Jewels of the European Royalties descend from these mines.

Step into a real polar explorer's home. Uranienborg, the home of adventurer Roald Amundsen, stays as he left it when he disappeared in 1928. Feel the atmosphere from 100 years back in time and learn about the story of one of the world's foremost polar heroes.
